RKB Splice Detection Technology

The Splice Detector uses a proprietary sensing and signal processing technology to monitor a single web of metallic, as well as, non-metallic papers, films and foils for splices. Our Splice Detectors provide accurate, consistent and reliable on-line inspection for processes up to 1500 fpm (450 m/min). Modular in design, the Splice Detector can be easily integrated with new or existing production equipment. Each system has self compensating and self aligning capabilities allowing the unit to automatically adjust to changes in caliper or type of web material unlike competitive sensor, photo cells or ultrasonic type sensors. RKBs Splice Detector helps manufacturers reduce product damage and downtime while preventing costly repairs to rolls, dies, and sensitive production equipment.
