RKB splice detection technology is a state-of-the-art inspection solution that is used to automatically detect and identify various types of splices that are common in today’s web based manufacturing processes. This leading supplier of book publishing papers will use RKB Model 1032B splice detection solution on their various sheeting processes to detect mill, butt and overlap type splices that exist within a variety of grades and weights of papers. “The detection capability of the 1032B is the worlds best sensing solutions that can easily detect any type of splice irrespective of type, color or caliper,” states RKB President and CEO.

The Model 1032B Splice Detector is capable of monitoring single or multiple webs of papers, plastics, films, and other types of nonmetallic materials. Outputs produced by the device can be used to automatically control production equipment such as sheeters, coaters, supercalenders, extrusion laminators, roto presses, slitters, rewinders, and paper machines, which ensures improved quality and reduces downgrades and rejects. The Model 1032B Splice Detector is designed for center of web mounting, eliminating the need for repositioning to accommodate changes in web width under just-in-time, short run, or high product mix manufacturing conditions.
