Syracuse, NY, September 13, 2010 – R.K.B. OPTO-ELECTRONICS, INC., a leader in providing machine vision, web inspection, splice detection and quality assurance and control technologies, has been selected to supply its state of the art missing ply detector technology.  The equipment will be shipped to an Australian tissue manufacturer.  The technology will be mounted on proprietary equipment prior to an embossing station to facilitate the automatic shut down of the line upon the detection of a broken or missing ply which will prevent damage to sensitive components in the overall process.  Our Missing Ply Detector Technology guarantees the detection of all missing plies.  Simple and very cost effective, the R.K.B. missing ply detector will outperform any sensor technology currently in use today.  To date R.K.B. has installed over 5000 inspection solutions in over 120 countries.  Unequaled in performance, our splice detector technology will provide a return on investment within 24 hours of use.
