Prevent Costly Repair:

The Model 1032C Enforcer™ Splice Detector™ will help your company prevent costly repairs to rolls, dies, and sensitive production equipment used in web conversion manufacturing processes. This patent pending resistive based technology is designed to detect sudden changes in material thickness due to splices in metalized webs of material such as foil, holographic, food packaging, etc.

Ensure Product Quality:

Our Splice Detectors have been successfully applied to ensure delivered product quality in many different types of applications on equipment such as:

Sheeters
Coaters
Supercalenders
Extrusion Laminators
Web Presses
Slitters
Rewinders
Paper Machinery

Monitor Sensitive Metalized Webs:

Our Splice Detector monitors a single web of metalized material to a total thickness of 500 micron on-line for the detection of splices. It automatically adjusts itself to changes in product run thickness, type or caliper of material being monitored. Special splice markings are not required.

Benefits:

Each Black Mamba system installed provides the end users, as well as the web press manufacturer the following:

100% Reliability in splice fault detection.
Fail safe to notify the press that the Black Mamba is connected and functioning.
Limits emergency down time caused by damaged print heads/stations.
Eliminates the need for "SPLICE FREE PAPER" to be required.
Reduces print head/station replacements.
Increases product quality of both press and printed material.
Facilitates increased market share thus increase annual revenues.

Reduce Setup:

Time Designed for center of web mounting, the Splice Detector eliminates the need for repositioning to accommodate changes in web width. It can be installed at any convenient position in the web's path to provide defect detection at the earliest possible stage of the process.

Achieve Unattended Operation:

Both a signal contact closure and a signal digital pulse output are included with each Splice Detector for control or activation of audio/visual alarms, counters, sorters, and other types of processing equipment. The unit can also be combined with our Multicolor Edge Marking™ Technology or Reject Gate Control™ Technology for completely unattended operation of your production equipment.

Expect Reliability:

The Splice Detector has been designed for operation under real world conditions found in high speed metalized lamination processes. It's performance has been proven over time in installations throughout the world. Expect stable and reliable operation of our Splice Detector in your production operations.
